what is nemt

(non emergency MEDICAL transportation)

Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) includes transportation services offered to those in our community whom face extraordinary barriers getting to their medical appointments. Those barriers include being unable to travel independently due to physical, cognitive, mental, developmental limitations.

NEMT services are usually intended for medical appointments or other forms of

non-emergent care.
